Garlic, real name Allium sativum L., has always been known for its antiseptic action, and during the Middle Ages, it was effectively used for a large number of diseases including plague and cholera. In ancient Egypt garlic was used to increase workers’ resistance to infection and prevent wound infection. During World Wars I and II garlic was used to prevent gangrene and treat infection. Garlic increases the immune defenses of our body and is good for hypertension, arteriosclerosis, chronic bronchitis, intestinal worms. Consume garlic in foods. |
