Your lungs are like natural air pumps. When you breathe in, your lungs fill up with air, taking in oxygen which then gets absorbed into your blood. This oxygen-rich blood is pumped around your body by your heart. When you breathe out, your lungs get rid of carbon dioxide, a waste gas your body doesn't need. So, it's like an efficient exchange system—bringing in what you need, getting rid of what you don't. Simple as that! |
